Martinez Pottery Handmade 1 Gallon Stoneware Vinegar Crock
$56.00
This attractive 1-gallon spouted stoneware vessel serves double duty as either a convenient water or iced tea jug or vinegar crock. Vinegar is easy to make at home – simply start with a base of living commercial vinegar (do not use pasteurized; Braggs apple cider vinegar works well) and then add red wine to the crock, topping it up with leftover wine as needed. The rough ratio is one part living vinegar to five or six parts wine. No need to use a “mother” or any other more complicated method. I started my vinegar two years ago and now have a large supply of homemade vinegar at the ready.
