Jacobsen Infused Black Garlic Salt

Black garlic is a bit of culinary alchemy. Originally Korean, it is garlic fermented long enough to render the cloves tender, mellow, earthy-sweet and utterly addictive. There’s little a dash of this umami-bomb salt can’t improve. Shake it over fried eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches, steak, fish, vegetables and to finish pasta (especially our Cacio e Pepe or Pasta alla Gricia.  To get the best handle on its unique flavor, try it a dusting on sliced tomatoes drenched with fruity olive oil or sliced avocado with a shake of hot sauce. 

For Jacobsen Salt, it’s a home-grown affair. The garlic is produced at their Portland factory before being blended with salt harvested from Oregon coast waters.
